Unsealed door edges and inconsistent gaps
Two small items with long consequences.

The unpainted edge
A timber door sealed on its faces but bare on the top and bottom edges takes up moisture unevenly. That is how a door that hung perfectly in January binds in July.
Weather seals
External doors also need their weather seal. Without it the gap under the door is a draught, a dust path and, in driving rain, a water path.
Cabinetry gaps
Inconsistent gaps between doors and drawer fronts are an adjustment, not a defect in the carcass. They are trivial to correct at handover and awkward to raise a year later.
Why raise small things at all
Because the cost of correcting them rises steeply the moment the builder has left, and because a list that ignores them concedes them.
